Teaching School Offer
Our offer is aligned with the key areas of the Teaching School remit:
1. Initial Teacher Training (ITT)
We provide training to graduates and career changers, choosing to become teachers through our SCITT (School-centred initial teacher training) programme. Our programme has been carefully designed to integrate graduates into contrasting school settings, where they can develop the ability to teach and learn on the job.
2. Continuing Professional Learning and Development (CPLD) including talent management
Our CPLD offer is designed to develop our teachers, leaders and support staff into the best they can be. We have a wide range of programmes for leaders at all levels including aspiring leaders and executive leaders. We also offer NPQs up to and including NPQH. Our CPLD offer not only supports career progression for all but it also ensures we have the best possible teachers in our classrooms.
3. School-to-School Support
We have created a pool of highly experienced practitioners and Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) and Lead Practitioners to support the work of departments or faculty areas in our academies.
Bespoke Training and Development:
The Teaching School offers bespoke training and development opportunities to meet an individual school or group of schools’ requirements. These start with a discussion with school leaders to determine their precise requirements. The Teaching School will then provide and individual or team with the experience and expertise to lead and facilitate this training.
