Teaching School Offer
Our offer is aligned with the key areas of the Teaching School remit:
We provide training to graduates and career changers, choosing to become teachers through our SCITT (School-centred initial teacher training) programme. Our programme has been carefully designed to integrate graduates into contrasting school settings, where they can develop the ability to teach and learn on the job.
Develop the leadership potential of staff in your school through the TKAT Leadership Development Pathways. There are different pathways for aspiring leaders at all levels and current Middle and Senior Leaders and Headteachers. We provide a good mix of in-house programmes, externally provided programmes through quality partners and accredited programmes.
Continually improve teaching practice using our robust CPD offer. We deliver a wide range of teaching and learning programmes for NQTs and teachers moving towards good, outstanding and beyond.
We have created a pool of highly experienced practitioners or Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) to support the improvement of a department, curriculum focus or student outcomes in our Academies.
- Specialist Leaders of Education
Deploy a Specialist Leader into your school to work with a Middle or Senior Leader in your Academy to help raise standards, improving the department and outcomes for your students.
- Bespoke Training and Development
The Teaching School offers bespoke training and development opportunities to meet and individual school or group of schools requirements. These start with a discussion with school leaders to determine their precise requirements. The Teaching School will then provide and individual or team with the experience and expertise to facilitate and/or deliver this training.
We have a number of Academies and teachers engaged in a range of research projects to help improve educational practices. Our Research Network aims to support individual and/or Academies in disseminating findings across the Alliance.
