Biography: 

Laura is currently Assistant Head Teacher with responsibility for strategic development of STEM, she has the Professional tutor role and leads on the strategic partnership for NQT development for the TKAT Teaching School Alliance. She has had a highly successful career as a Science teacher then head of Science. She has facilitated training for governors and teachers on a range of areas. Throughout her career Laura has had various roles supporting & developing new teachers in the profession. Laura is passionate about teaching & learning, Science and the continuing development of teachers.  Laura gained SLE Accreditation in March 2015.

Recent deployment/outreach work:

Laura has successfully facilitated outstanding & improving teacher programmes in East Sussex across primary & secondary phases. She has supported a school to effectively set up the programme. Laura is a trained coach with many years’ experience as a professional tutor working with a range of ITT providers & appropriate bodies. She has line managed Science departments through change and rapid improvement.

  • Leading whole school NQT development & ITT
  • Working as a strategic partner of the TKAT Teaching School Alliance focussing on NQT induction
