This programme brings middle leaders from primary and secondary schools together to enhance their leadership skills, creating a tier of middle leaders in schools that are inspirational, innovative and imaginative.

This is run over 6 sessions on the following dates:

• Practical coaching skills

Teaching & Learning

• Understanding the elements of effective teaching and learning

• The role of the middle leader in school improvement

• Skills in managing difficult conversations and how to hold others to account

Continuous Improvement

• The importance of vision and how to communicate it

• Key components of successful change

• Managing change within teams

Mapping the Future

• The importance of middle leadership within the school structure

• How to develop an effective strategic plan

• The differences between leadership and management

• What makes an effective leader
