Forest School and Outdoor Learning.
To develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts of Forest school and how to conduct Forest school sessions within the school setting.
To understand how to set up and run orienteering within a school setting,
Introduction into a typical forest school session- we will conduct a typical forest school session with you and allow you to see a variety of activities including: building fires, use of different tools, basic map reading etc.
-A brief look at the history of FS- We will look at the underlying concepts of FS and the principles of which the sessions are built on.
-Orienteering around the school grounds and mapping out your own school grounds.
-Opportunities to work with other colleagues across the trust to build ideas and activities and work collaboratively in the Forest.
-Lots of fun and enjoyment with hands on experience.

Parking available on site
We will be spending a substantial amount of the day outside- Warm clothing (with long sleeves) and wellington boots (hiking boots etc.)
